Can’t keep up with what’s in fashion? Check out our handy chart of what’s trending and what’s totally passé.

Gushing. Tim McGraw was #RelationshipGoals when he wished wife Faith Hill happy birthday on Instagram, calling her “extraordinary.”
Brangelina. In one of the biggest (and saddest) stories of the week, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. Jennifer Aniston memes quickly followed suit.
Pitch. Batter up! The premiere of Fox’s new series about the (fictional) first woman to play Major League baseball was—dare we say it?—a home run.
Thomas Gibson’s goodwill. Following his firing last month for kicking a writer, the Criminal Minds actor says the show is “trying to erase” him. This gives new meaning to the show’s designation as a drama, no?
Fall, y’all. Praise be, the autumn equinox occurred on Thursday. The momentous occasion signals autumn in the northern hemisphere, hopefully ushering in the kind of weather conducive to chunky scarves and pumpkin spice everything.
Google’s greenery. For some inexplicable reason, the formerly mint-green spaces in Google maps used to denote national forests have all gone gray.
A tribute to twang. Iconic country singers from Vince Gill to Dolly Parton and everyone in between (Blake! Carrie! Miranda! Little Big Town!) joined forces for an epic “Forever Country” music video mash-up honor of the 50th Annual CMA Awards.
Christmas in the country. Halloween isn’t even here yet, but that hasn’t stopped stars like Kacey Musgraves and Jennifer Nettles from debuting their yuletide albums.
Mark Zuckerberg’s big pledge. The Facebook CEO and his wife, Priscilla Chan, just committed a whopping $3 billion toward eradicating all disease by century’s end.

Heather Bresch. The CEO of pharmaceutical company Mylan was grilled by lawmakers over the exaggerated price hike in her company’s life-saving EpiPens.

Sustainable and affordable fashion. Zara, a brand known for its trendy styles and budget-friendly price-tags, launched its first sustainable capsule line … and it’s kind of fantastic.
American Apparel’s CEO. Paula Schneider, who helped turned the tides for the popular retail brand last year, stepped down in the midst of the company being sold. No tears here—American Apparel’s practice of sexualizing child models has had the company on our “no-buy” list for a long time.
Puppy love. In news that will give you warm and fuzzies, the Louisiana boy who became famous for sneaking hugs from the neighbor’s dog has gotten a pooch of his own.
Keeping up with the Joneses. The 24-room Wyndclyffe Castle mansion that inspired the expression sold at auction this week for—wait for it—only $120,000.

Pythons/nightmares. For the first time, wildlife officials discovered Burmese python hatchlings in the Florida Keys, meaning the invasive species is spreading.
Last chance tourism. Scientists are calling this trend of trying to “see it before it’s gone”—think the Great Barrier Reef or Yellowstone National Park—paradoxical, since droves of people contribute to destruction.
Anne of Green Gables. Not only is this classic tale coming to Netflix soon as a series, but PBS just announced they’ll be airing a new Anne of Green Gables movie come Thanksgiving night. Just another thing to be grateful for, eh?
Back to the Future. The time-traveling franchise has officially left Netflix. If you didn’t binge-watch while you had the chance, it might be time to dust off those ol’ VHS tapes.
Listeria. No, really—it’s in an alarmingly large number of foods that were just added to the potentially contaminated list. This calls for a moment of silence for Blue Bell ice cream.
Antibiotics in food. For only the fourth time in history, the United Nations has elevated a health issue to crisis level. The fact that the issue is antibiotics in our food is unnerving, to say the least.
